When planning your engagement photos one of the hardest parts was figuring out what to wear. In the previous email we talked about colors and here is where that comes into play. Your outfits should be color coordinated with invitations in mind. Also for your wedding day if you decide to print out your invitations for display have them coordinated with your wedding colors. Some of my favorite colors are neutrals because they are timeless and easy to coordinate with everything. For example white, tan, olive green, gray, navy, light pink, or pastel blue. Easy to match and will look timeless if you decide to print and hang them in your home.
How many outfits should I bring?
For my photo sessions I recommend bringing at least 2-3 outfits. For the first outfit I recommend a more formal theme. A dress for the bride and slacks and a button up for the groom. A suit coat or tie is optional if you are wanting to keep it more casual. I also recommend a more casual outfit as well. Usually pants for the bride and a nice dressy top and jeans or khakis with a nice button up top for the groom. If you are having trouble deciding bring a third outfit to have the option in case you decide you don’t like the other two as much. Some of my favorite combinations have been an short lacey dress or jumpsuit with a suit and no tie. Another for casual is a simple white tee and jeans for both bride and groom.
